About Us
Advance MRI Imaging was started by Ramon Cabrera Jr. A Cuban immigrant with a passion for medicine in all its facets, Ramon first worked for a well-known international pharmaceutical company where he learned all about laboratory testing. After more than 20 years of service, he had the courage to do what few others accomplish; Ramon opened his own laboratory and together with his wife, Mary Cabrera, they ran this highly successful business.
Ramon’s passion for diagnostics eventually grew to include medical imaging and for years he immersed himself in this field until he acquired his very own MRI center. In the very same building where it is still today, Ramon began with only a mobile MRI unit with the dream that he would, one day, become a fully equipped multimodal diagnostic center. Unfortunately, Ramon died suddenly and unexpectedly before he was able to see his dream realized.
However, his wife and children courageously moved forward attempting to continue the project that he had started. In 2002, Widow Mary Cabrera and son Daniel Martinez partnered to turn the small diagnostic center with the mobile MRI unit into the successful and fully equipped center it is today.
In 2006, after Doral become an incorporated city, Daniel and Mary decided to rename the center as Doral Medical Imaging in order to honor the city that had been so influential in their path to success.
In 2014, Doral Medical Imaging acquired a new state-of-the-art center in Kendall Florida known today as Advance MRI, where they continue to honor Ramon’s legacy by adding new testing modalities and serving the community in a warm and friendly family atmosphere.

Technicians
Our technicians are state and nationally licensed (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – A.A.R.T.) through the State of Florida. All our personnel are bilingual and well trained to serve the diverse communities in south Florida. Our Radiologist is board certified and has over 16 years of experience reading diagnostic studies. Doral Medical Imaging (DMI) & Advance MRI (AMI) is centrally located in Dade County in the city of Doral and Kendall. We offer plenty of parking, easily accessible disabled parking. We provide a comfortable sitting area for patients with snacks and beverages to ease their wait time.
Radiologist
Dr. Keith Mullenger is a Board Certified Radiologist who received his medical education at the Washington University School of Medicine in 1978. He was Chief of Radiology at Memorial Hospital from 1991 to November 2003. During that period, he was also the Director of Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Mullenger has been Medical Director of Windsor Imaging in Fort Lauderdale since August of 2008.
